PRACTISING THE WORD!

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
James 1:22 (KJV)
Main Text:

We have many talkers about the Word and even many rejoicers about the Word, however, we do not have many doers of the Word. Begin to practice being a doer of the Word by doing all what the Word tells you to do. A good number of the general populace think being a doer of the Word simply means to keep the ten commandment, but that’s not what that verse means.

Being a doer of the Word means that we are to do primarily what is written in the Epistles. They are letters written to us – the Church, the body of Christ. Being a doer of the Word is proof that you believe it. Jesus said, if you love me keep my Word (John 14:15) that verse basically means do the Word if you claim to love Jesus. The Word of God is for doing, it has the potential and capacity to reproduce itself and bring about whatever it talks about if we act on it.

God’s Word has creative power that comes into effect once ignited by the force of faith. Hearing the Word produces faith in you (Rom 10:17) but acting on the Word causes your life to move from glory to glory! That right there is exponential growth!

Confession: I choose the Word, I am a doer of the Word, I will act on the Word! I refuse to be rebellious towards the Word, I am disciplined enough to act the Word. In Jesus name. Amen!
