INSPIRED SPEAKING 1

“For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health.”
Mark 5:28 (AMP)
Main Text:

It’s important for us as believers to understand that our words must be inspired by both scriptures and the Holy Spirit. God created the world by speaking, however, God didn’t speak until the Holy Spirit moved. Genesis 1:2-3 “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (KJV) The Hebrew word for Speak is “Dabar”. Dabar means to arrange, name, command, declare, destroy, pronounce and talk. In essence, when we speak, we are indirectly arranging the outcome of our lives.

There was a certain woman who had a hemorrhage (the flow of blood) that was apparently incurable and was slowly destroying her. One can only imagine the pain and emotional pressure that sapped her strength day after day. When you consider her many disappointments with the doctors and the poverty it brought her, you wonder how she endured as long as she did. But there was one added burden: according to the Law, she was ceremonially unclean, which greatly restricted both her religious and her social life – what a burden she carried!

However, this woman was a woman of faith, she was able to identify her miracle in the man Jesus, she saw that in Jesus she was whole. She heard that Jesus was passing by and she said to herself, “if only I touch his garment, I will be made whole” interestingly, the Amplified bible says she kept saying to herself those words. Her words were inspired by the testimony of others about Jesus.

Confession: I speak creatively, I am blessed, I increase more and more in prosperity.

Prayer: Father, I pray that my speech shall be inspired today.
