OUR FATHER, OUR GOD!

“For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!”
Romans 8:15 (AMP)
Main Text: Galatians 4:6

God is your father. He is not distant, He isn’t just the creator of the universe, He’s not an old bearded man up in the sky who you should be scared of. He is not angry with you; He is your Father. He is proud of you. Jesus said “My Father” He personalized it, however, when HE spoke with people He said “Your Father”. God breathe into you His life, He made you fearfully and wonderfully, you are not ugly! You’re His masterpiece, don’t feel less of yourself. He didn’t make a mistake when He made you. He is your Father and He wants you to run to Him not from Him.

Who is a father? A father is more than just a name, it’s more than a title. It’s more than the sperm that fertilized an egg. Any man can impregnate a woman, but not everyman can be a father. A father is one who is willing to step up and take care of His children. A father is one who will love his children unconditionally. A father is one who will guide, guard and direct the ones whom he claims to love. . God celebrates you, He cheers you on. God loves you and you cannot comprehend His love towards you. God is your father and He is proud of you. God is for you who can be against you? He provides for the birds of the air, how much more you? God is interested in every detail of your life!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for your love towards me, thank you that I enjoy sonship and have the privilege to be called a son of God.

Further Reading: 1 John 3:1 (AMP) “SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.”

John 1:12 (AMP)But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name.”
