SEED TIME AND HARVEST
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.’
Genesis 8:22
Main Text:
Some people think the scripture above reads, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest time…shall not cease.” But that isn’t what the Lord says. To say “seed time and harvest time” suggests that there’s a specific time of sowing as well as a specific time of harvest. But the idea given to us in Genesis 8: 22 where it says “seedtime and harvest” is that harvest is anytime. In other words, you might as well consider today the set time for your harvest!
It’s important that you consider the likely end of your processes. If you don’t have results in view, you have planned to fail without knowing. It’s not possible to have laid down plans without notable results at the end of it all. Can I sow my corn seed in dry season? No! This life is nothing different from the computer term ‘GIGO’ (Garbage in, Garbage out). Life will always return to you the proportion of your investments. You can’t escape your results whether good or bad. In fact, when you pretend to be lazy and unconcerned about the passing of time and seasons, I can assure you that your result will soon be visible for all to see.
What kind of harvest are you working towards? Have you invested enough to smile during harvest season or your fleshly investment will simply earn you gnashing of teeth on the Day of Judgment? Please remember that you will reap whatsoever you have sown and are still sowing. There’s always a reward! Have you pondered over your physical and spiritual exercises? Are you working towards a glorious harvest or just playing games with your future. Please consider your ways, sit up and get divine counsel in the Word of God. If you don’t want to be put to shame move closer to God and it shall be well with you.
Prayer: Help me to sow the right seed at the right time O Lord.
