TAKE THAT STEP
But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him
Hebrews 11:6.
Main Text:
One of the ironies of life is the fear of failure, the rejection it brings and the criticism it attracts. Most often people preferred to be careful and cautious in taking a step than having themselves blamed by people. While Goliath may look like a giant and act like a giant, in contrast to the living God he is a little man, a Lilliput of no means. David has a right view of God and therefore a right view of the circumstances. If you have the right view of your God, then you, will know that the travail is too tiny for the prevailing power in the Word of God in you. David sees Goliath as one who is defying the armies of the living God (1 Sam. 17:26). He confidently appears before Goliath in his shepherd’s clothes, armed with only his staff, five stones, and a sling. His confidence is not in what he has but in who is with him (v.45). What “Goliath” are you facing right now? It may be an impossible situation at work, a financial difficulty, or a broken relationship. With God all things are small in comparison. Nothing is too big for Him. God is able to deliver you if that’s His desire, and He may do so in ways you don’t expect.
’Beloved, for you to witness change in this year of prevailing Word, you must be willing to take that step you’ve long delayed. Start that business, further that education, go into that marriage I faith. There is a popular saying that testimony is a product of test passed, therefore, to have your testimony you must face your test. You must have desire to win like David and Joshua, take courage and willingness to step out by faith and God will honour your decision.
Prayer: Lord I curse every spirit of fear and doubt paralysing my courage in Jesus name.
