JESUS, THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.”
Philippians 2:9 (KJV)
Main Text:

After Jesus poured himself out for us in total submission to God’s plan, God gave the highest place of honor to Him. When the apostle Paul says Jesus has a name above all names, he means Jesus has the name that acknowledges His complete authority, lordship and power over heaven and earth – the name that commands respect and inspires worship.

God ensured that Jesus would get all the glory He deserved by giving Him the name that is above all names. The word given in the Greek tongue means echarisato which means to bestow upon. God bestowed on Jesus the most honorable name that at the mention of His name all knee must bow and confess that He is Lord. (Phil 2:9-11)

Jesus is seated in a place of honor, at the right hand of God. Heb 12:2 (NLT) “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.” He is the risen one, the Savior, our Lord, He is forever exalted above all, He has the name above all names.

Confession

The name of Jesus is above all names, I am an heir of God and Jesus is the head of the church, therefore in the name of Jesus, poverty, lack and want bows to me. Sicknesses and diseases bow to me; I am an heir of God – the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
