THE POWER OF WORDS
“Put away from thee a wayward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.”
Prov 4:24 (ASV)
Main Text: Main Text: Proverbs 15:4
The impact of our words is significant to God, prompting the Word to guide believers on speaking with wisdom. Proverbs 4:24 emphasizes the importance of avoiding a wayward mouth and perverse lips. As believers, our speech should align with the spiritual language outlined in the Word of God. Colossians 4:6 encourages us to let our speech be always filled with grace and seasoned with salt.
Our words possess the power to shape our destinies positively or negatively. Proverbs 6:2 underscores the idea that we are ensnared by our words, either leading us towards blessings and miracles or the path of curses and hardship. The tongue, like a ship's rudder, directs the course of our lives. James 3:4-5 draws a parallel between the tongue and a ship's rudder, highlighting the immense impact it has.
Being mindful of our confessions is crucial, as our words shape our lives. By consistently speaking words of success, long life, and increase, we can maintain health, safety, victory, and prosperity. Our confessions have the power to keep us on the path of success and dominion, ensuring an upward and forward journey.
Confession:
My life is excellent and full of glory. I walk in the dominion of the Spirit, and my journey is upward and forward only. I am on the path of success, victory, and everlasting prosperity. I am a champion.
