REMOVE THE ASHES
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be
Isaiah 61:3
Main Text:
Ashes are the powdery residue left after the burning of a substance. Every believer has one or more gifts of the Holy Spirit. But when the manifestations of these gifts are not there, that means some things are blocking the manifestation. Ashes will NOT allow fire to burn. It chokes the burning of woods. Sin is likened to ashes. Sin hinders the flow of anointing. Sin hinders breakthroughs. When you are digging a well, you have a breakthrough once you strike water. As a minister, once you strike water you do not need to advertise yourself anymore. The glory of God will shine in your ministry.
Ashes are those things that gather at the tip of the wick that was burning. They are the reminders of your past glory. Whenever you see believers relishing their past testimonies, they are gathering ashes which will eventually extinguish their fire. The more the ashes, the more the likelihood of your fire going out
Beloved, there are so many things that constitute ashes to believers. When we refuse to train our children in the way of the Lord we’re gathering ashes on their destinies, also, when we fail to acknowledge God in whatever we do, ashes will later envelope our glory. Telling blatant lies is accumulating ashes that will soon destroy the fire. In fact, like I said earlier, sin is ashes, and it prevents our prayers from ascending to God. All you need do to clean your mess is to repent, ask the Holy Spirit to clear the ashes in your life. And as long as you walk in obedience pleasing God, ashes that cover your glory will be removed by the blood of Jesus.
Prayer: Help me O Lord to lead my children and followers in the right path
