Quiet Time: Pray Everyday

“Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to [a]turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).”
Luke 18:1
Main Text: Main Text: 2 Timothy 2:15

Jesus made daily prayer a habit, and He commanded us to do the same. To experience God's presence in every aspect of our lives, we must embrace the principle and discipline of prayer. Although Jesus was fully God and fully man during His time on earth, He still prioritized prayer. We, too, must commit ourselves to prayer, following the example set by our Master.

To grow in God, we must cultivate the habit of seclusion. Before the fall, Adam and Eve spent time with the Lord in koinonia, symbolizing prayer. We, too, must pray daily, for without it, we risk falling prey to the schemes of Satan. Prayer is not just for church services or Bible studies; it’s a daily practice. Like any relationship, if we don’t invest time, it will suffer. Prayer is our way of spending time with God, connecting with Him, and aligning our hearts with His.

Prayer is vital because it keeps us close to God. When we pray, we open our hearts to Him, allowing Him to work in and through us. Prayer deepens our relationship with God, much like how spending time with someone helps us get to know them better. The more we communicate with God in prayer, the closer we become to Him. As the Bible says in James 4:8, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

Confession:

I declare, my prayer life is vibrant and powerful. I commune with God daily, seeking His presence and guidance in every area of my life. Prayer is my lifeline, and through it, I connect with the heart of God, receive His wisdom, and align myself with His will.
