OCCUPY TILL I COME

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”
Luke 19:13
Main Text: Main Text: Matthew 25:14-30

To occupy is to establish dominion over a region. Occupants do not assimilate with the surroundings; instead, they work towards imprinting the land they inhabit with the characteristics reminiscent of their homeland. Our homeland is Zion, we are ambassadors of heaven here on earth, therefore, it is important for us hold our own, take territories for Jesus and reshape the world as Christ intended, we do. John 9:5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world”.

We ought to be actively engaged in practical endeavors. The master entrusted his servants with tasks, instructing them to manage and conduct business on his behalf. It's noteworthy that he equipped them with the necessary resources for carrying out their assigned duties. The master provided his servants with capital, in the same vein, the Lord Jesus Christ provided us with all we need to live a practical Christian life. He has entrusted us the ministry of reconciliation, therefore, it is important we engage in kingdom business.

The LORD frequently brings people unfamiliar with HIM into our paths, and sometimes we miss the chance to acquaint them with CHRIST. This is often due to our failure to live in the full consciousness of CHRIST as we should. Every Christian possesses a sphere of influence; some may have a broader one. The crucial question is: What do you do with the sphere of influence the Master has entrusted to you? Do you guide those within your sphere towards love or hatred, assistance or hindrance, construction or destruction, unity or division? Are you influencing them for CHRIST or against CHRIST?

Confession:

I am blessed, I take territories for Jesus, my light shines brighter and brighter and my Father in Heaven is glorified! Jesus Christ is the Lord over my life. Amen.
