THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS

“Put away from thee a wayward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.”
Proverbs 4:24 (ASV)
Main Text:

Our words are important to God, this is why the Word admonishes us to speak right words. Job 6:25 “How forcible are right words.” There’s a spiritual language for we believers, a blueprint for how our words must cut across. Col 4:6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” As believers, the Word of God must take preeminence on our lips.

Our words have the ability to make us or mar us. Prov 6:2 tells us clearly that we are taken by our words. We are either taken to the place of blessing and miracles or the place of the curse and hardship. The tongue is like the rudder of the ship which a captain uses to direct the ship wherever he wants. This simply means, your life is the character of your words. If your words are wholesome, your life will be perfect, excellent and full of glory. James 3:4-5 “Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines. Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!”

Watch what you say for your confessions control your life. You can keep yourself in health, safety, victory and prosperity by the words you utter. Always talk success, long life, and increase only. Praise God.

Confession: My life is excellent and full of glory. I walk in the dominion of the Spirit, my journey is upward and forward only; I’m on the path of success, victory and everlasting prosperity. I am a champion.
