A GOOD FIGHT II
“... Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day…
II Timothy 4:7-8
Main Text:
My body is paining me but I believe the word of healing, my food storage is empty but I believe the word of God. My husband is behaving strangely, my children are becoming wayward and rebellious, my wife is not treating me well, things are just not like they should and I don’t even know what to do again. Have you prayed with fast? Have you really studied the Word for the situation? If you have prayed and believed the word of God. That is the fight of faith. 1 Timothy 1:18 so hold on!
The case of Satan and his cohorts is sealed – they are defeated. And they want to take as many to hell, which is why 1Peter 5:8 says, “...be vigilant; because your adversary the devil... walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”.
The fight of faith is not a battle with devils, because the Lord never told us to do battle with them. He only says we should cast them out Mark 16:17. If you check the Scriptures, you’ll discover that the only fight you’re called into is the fight of faith. The Bible calls it a “good” fight, and that’s because you’re on the winning side. The Lord Jesus overcame the devil, the world, and its systems. All that’s left for you to do as a Christian is to keep the prevailing word alive in you and never allow the trials of the world to quench the fire of the working word in you..
In the fight of faith, you must trust in nothing other than Jesus to sustain and redeem you. You believe what the Lord has given you and hold on to it, no matter what your human senses perceive. You stand on God’s Word and refuse to be shaken by contrary winds. It’s not the time to lament about how you feel or what you’re going through rather, it’s time to stick with the prevailing Word.
Prayer: May I not fall into devil’s trick
