THE HEALING JESUS
“Some time later came one of the Jewish feast-days and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. There is in Jerusalem near the sheep-gate a pool surrounded by five arches, which has the Hebrew name of Bethzatha (the Pool of Bethesda). Under these arches a great many sick people were in the habit of lying; some of them were blind, some lame, and some had withered limbs. (They used to wait there for the “moving of the water”, for at certain times an angel used to come down into the pool and disturb the water, and then the first person who stepped into the water after the disturbance would be healed of whatever he was suffering from.) One particular man had been there ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there on his back—knowing that he had been like that for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to get well again?”
John 5:1-6

Jesus never turned anyone away, regardless of the severity of their condition. He didn't need a background in medical science to address what science could not. Jesus is the healer—He is the way to healing, the truth about healing, and the power that gives life. When Jesus enters your life, transformative change occurs. Take, for example, the sick man at Bethesda who was healed of a 38-year affliction simply by encountering Jesus. Despite being overlooked and judged by others, his encounter with the Master brought complete healing. Jesus is indeed a healing Jesus.
The man at Bethesda lamented that he had no one to help him—his family had abandoned him, his friends left, and his wife probably divorced him. Yet, when he encountered Jesus, his captivity was turned around. This reflects the truth of Psalm 126:1, which says, "When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dreamed." Meeting Jesus transforms your life into a wondrous experience. He has the power to elevate you from poverty to prosperity, from sickness to health. Jesus is your helper—call on Him, and He will answer.
Jesus came with a clear purpose: to destroy the works of the devil. This means He came to eradicate sin, heal sickness and disease, and overcome poverty. The curse brought about these afflictions, but Jesus redeems us from them and ushers us into a life of abundance and prosperity—free from the effects of sin. Hallelujah!
Confession:
I am fruitful in all areas of my life. The Lord has blessed me with the ability to bear much fruit, and my life yields positive results and blessings. I am productive and effective in my endeavors, and my efforts are blessed by God. I walk in divine health, experiencing the fullness of God's healing and wholeness. Sickness and disease have no place in my body. I am covered by the stripes of Jesus, which have brought me healing and restoration.
