THE NEW MAN
“When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!â€
2 Corinthians 5:17 (TLB)
Main Text:
The moment you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you became what the Bible calls a “New Creature.” Within, you’re not the same person you were before. You immediately possessed the nature of God born into you. It’s clear that this experience is an inner one, however, God intends for it to be an inside out experience. You have to let this nature possess your outward person.
Many Christians think this experience is automatic, however, they forget that regardless of the fact that it’s a gift from God there are certain decisions to take in order for the new man to take absolute control of the old. One of such decisions is choosing to bring your body into subjection to the new man within you.
Rom 6:12 “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal bodies…” I know this sounds tough, but remember you’re not alone in this, you have the Greater One inside you to enable you carry out this decision. He’s within you to strengthen and empower you against the devil and his minions. All things are under your feet and you are a new man in Christ.
Confession: I have put out the old man and have put on the new man, which was renewed in the knowledge of God. I am a new creature in Christ I am raised together with Him, I am dead to sin, I prosper in everything I do.

2 Cor 5:21 (NIV) “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
