WHERE IS YOUR PASSION FOR ‘TITUS’? 1
“…, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother…â€
1Corinthians 2:12-13
Main Text:
This is a scripture from which every born again Christian should learn a vital lesson. Who was Titus? In the passage above Paul called him his brother, and in Titus 1:4 he referred to him his “own son after the common faith”. It is noteworthy that the fact that he did not see Titus made Paul feel restless in spite of the open door that was before him.
Sadly, some believers today are not like Paul in this regards. Once a great and effectual door of opportunity is opened to them, they forget about “Titus”in their life, and the focus is all about the open door. Many are so concerned about making it in career that they have forgotten that ‘Titus’ who may be their father or mother (Hebrews 13:1). Many Christians have even lost their relationship with “Titus” in the name of greed. A sister once invited her former classmate to partake in a business with profit sharing formula of 50/50. The business was successful and a very clean one for that matter. The next was that, the former classmate betrayed her friend who invited her, went with the 100% and even blocked her friend from accessing the organization where they tendered. She locked out her Titus to an open door she was invited to be blessed. The end of the lady was sad. She was disgraced and shut out forever while the initial sister was reconciled.
On the contrary, the “Titus” may be any member of your family who is not born again. You are so much busy for God that you have no burden whatsoever; whether they get born again or not is not of any importance to you. In your busy schedule as a child of God, you do not feel any restlessness in your spirit that some of your loved ones are not born again. Beloved, that is too dangerous. God is not in support of such action and you must do something fast.
Prayer: Let fire of brotherly love ignites in me O Lord
