THE INVALUABLE YOU
“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed theeâ€
Mark 10:28
Main Text:
The way you find out what God wants you to do with your life is to discover how uniquely useful you are in fulfilling destiny in life. God won’t force you to do his plan simply because, He has given us the power to choose. The Bible says see, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil. Deuteronomy 30: 15. Whatever you come up with is your choice. You can waste your life. You can use it on all kinds of personal, self-centered things and totally miss God’s plan and purpose for your life. We all have the opportunity to make amends before our transition. The greatest undoing will be for you to die with your great potentials unrealised.
When you are trying to be something the people of the world want you to be rather than what God wants you to be is like chasing your own shadow to arrest it.
There is a life mission that God has for you that nobody else on this planet can do. Maybe you’ve missed that before because of your attitude, the chance is now before you to start afresh, knowing full well that God is interested in you fulfilling His purpose for which you were created.
God will never ask you to do anything in life that He hasn’t already given you the ability to achieve. The call of Christ is not a subtle form of frustration. Rather, in demanding self-denial, Christ promises a far greater reward: “treasure in heaven.” He promises something ultimate. Moreover, it was Jesus who said, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal... (Matt. 6:19-21).”
Beloved, your value in Christ cannot depreciate simply because you are of importance to Him. Keep serving God, keep prevailing by His Word, keep winning in this 2018 for you are highly valuable before God.
