LOVE ONE ANOTHER

“These things I command you, that ye love one another.”
John 15:17
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: John 15:10

Jesus leaves us with a simple yet profound instruction: to love one another. This command is woven into His teachings on abiding in Him, bearing fruit, and glorifying the Father. Love isn’t merely an emotion or a suggestion in the life of a believer; it’s a command from Christ Himself—a directive meant to define our relationships, actions, and identity.

But what does it mean to love as Christ has commanded? Biblical love transcends feelings or temporary affection. It’s a love rooted in the sacrificial example of Jesus, who laid down His life for us, even while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). Jesus’ love is selfless, unwavering, and inclusive, extending grace and mercy even to those who oppose Him.

Loving others isn’t always easy, but with intentionality, we can look beyond people’s flaws, misunderstandings, or failures. Unforgiveness can hinder our ability to love fully. Just as God has forgiven us, we are called to forgive others and extend mercy freely. Let forgiveness be a constant practice in our lives.

Confession:

I declare in the name of Jesus, I walk in love, I experience the love of God and I extend this love to my society. I am blessed, Amen.
