GOD LOVES YOU 2

Now that we have established the fact that God loves us just as much as He loves Jesus in yesterday’s devotional, we need to understand what the God kind of love is all about. The word "Agape" is used to refer to the love of God. Agape love is the highest form of love, it refers to the love God has for man and man for God. 

John 3:16; “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." 

This verse shows the heart of God towards humanity. God couldn't bear to see man suffer so He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. God releasing His most valuable possession to die for man gives a description of the kind of God we have. He's not just God, He's a loving father. Jesus said God desires to meet your every need and want. You're His most priced creation not some animal. (Matthew 6:26-33).

Jesus came to abolish death. There wasn't a single time Jesus met a dead person and called them dead. Jarius’ daughter was proclaimed dead, Jesus said she's asleep. Lazarus was embalmed, Jesus said he's asleep. Love never gives up on anyone. In 1863, Abraham Lincoln signed a treaty known as the Emancipation Proclamation. This treaty made slavery illegal, in the same vein, when God who is love sent Jesus to die for you, death became illegal. 

Most times, when we read John 3:16, we immediately think sin, which isn't wrong however, a shallow narrative. That verse talks about salvation from every negative thing.

It is illegal to be poor as a child of God. Love made you a new creature, a new species of man, an upgrade from Adam. Therefore you cannot be defeated. You are exactly like Jesus. 

God loves you just as much as He loves Jesus.

Prayer: Father, I activate the Word and I manifest your love in my world today.
