YOU MUST KEEP HEARING FROM GOD
“…Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the Mouth of Godâ€
Matthew 4: 4
Main Text:
One of the great qualities of God is vivid and detailed explanation of content. Even when He speaks parable, He would be illustrative about it so that any iota of confusion is not entertained. By the time God spoke to Moses, He illustrated the assignment in a language he (Moses) would best understand.
Imagine, how would life be with you if everyone around was deaf? I guess your answer cannot be positive. Imagine you driving a car and a deaf man is across the road, almost running into your car, and then you blast the horns. Do you think it would make any difference? No doubt about that. No matter how bad the world is, it would have been worse if everyone was deaf.
This is the situation of things with believers when we don’t hear from God. If you don’t hear from God, the best you think you have now would have been nothing compared to what you would have had.
A friend seldom comes to me to pray with him over an issue relating to ministry and I kept praying (with him). But one day, as I was praying, it dawned on me that the real problem with my friend could have been insensitivity to instructions from God for I sensed my friend was always undermining the source God uses.
Certainly, if you can be sensitive enough to hear instructions, you will avoid many distractions. The distraction you face now may have been as a result of the instructions you did not hear or take to. Rather than spend the whole day, crying over that trouble, open your eyes and ears and get going because while crying, you may be distracted from hearing an instruction and that may lead to a bigger trouble. Focus now and begin to do the needful. God still speak to His children including you.
Prayer: Open my mind and sense organs to always feel You when You speak to me.
