WHEN MERCY MEETS GRACE IN YOUR LIFE

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Ephesians 2: 4
Main Text:

No matter how fervent you can pray and fast, if God’s mercy is taken out of the equation you may not get your desired result. Bartimaeus in Mk. 10:46-52 was smart enough when he cried to Jesus mercy, and his sight was restored at the contact with mercy Himself. Besides, many of us know full well that we do not deserve God’s mercy but His mercy is expressed over all. For instance, if a sister is believing God for the fruit of the womb and same had in time past ruptured her uterus to series of abortions, she can be so sure that Satan will be waiting to contest her request. However, through God’s mercy, the ruptured womb can carry baby again by the power of the prevailing Word of God.

God is so full of mercy, and there is no one who cannot benefit from His mercy. When powerful people know that no one can query them, they do whatever they like. God is however different! Even though He is the Almighty God and He is all powerful, yet His mercy endures forever. God’s grace grants us access to the things we don’t deserve. There are many of us who are what we are only by His grace. If not for His grace, some of us would not be alive today, if not for His grace; some of us would have no roof over our heads. If not for His grace, how would some of us have anyone willing to help us? There are many opportunities we have misused in the past, and yet we have not lived to regret this because of His grace. If not for His mercy, some of us wouldn’t have recovered from the consequences of our past life.
Therefore when you do merciful deeds, don't sound a trumpet before yourself, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may get glory from men. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. Matthew 6:2
Prayer: Lord I ask for mercies on my household.
