DO NOT RUSH ELSEWHERE

“And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of
Gen.26:2-3
Main Text:

One good lesson from the story of Isaac in Genesis Chapter 26 is that he weathered the storms, persevered and the Lord blessed him greatly despite the famine in the land. Famine is no longer news. Spiritual or physical, famine can hit a nation, a group of people, family or individual. Your position and location in such a state is what will determine how well you and your family will fare. You do not need to fear for the Lord your God is available all through the seasons and because he cares, you shall laugh all through and never be sorrowful.

There’s no better place to be in famine than at the center of God’s will. Running from pillar to post will not solve your issues in seasons of famine. Looking for help from abroad and not from above will lead to more frustration and heartache. What you need in this very present time is God and God the Almighty only. If God will open your eyes of the spirit just like he did for Isaac, you will discover that God is omnipresent and the very present help in time of need. He can bless you with or without the situation of the world. He controls the economy of the whole universe and will never watch you suffer on the earth.
David said, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1). If God is not leading you, any situation of life can drive you crazy. Spiritual famine can kill you faster than the physical one. If you lack the instructions of the Lord you are poor. If you are not nourished by the word of God you are living in total famine. If your life is just revolving round the situations of the world you need urgent help. God is your only secure source. Don’t rush out of his agenda for your life. Consider Isaac in Gen.26:2-3
