INVOKE THE BLESSING OF THE LORD
“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
Psalm 5:12
Main Text: Main text: Genesis 1:28
The primary task of the blessing is to be a blessing to the world around you, God doesn’t just bestow His blessing upon you because He wants you to ride the best car, No! that is not the purpose for the blessing, God blesses you so you can promote his Kingdom and bless the world around you. You may have never have received a word of blessing from any of your parents, pastor, or friend, you may never have even heard the words God bless you, however, I want you to know so far you have accepted Christ Jesus, God has bestowed his blessings upon you, therefore you must invoke this power upon your affairs.
It’s important to note that the blessing brings forth life, and it goes from generation to generation. There are diverse ways to invoke the blessing such as spoken words, attaching high value to one who carries the blessing, prayer and confessions. It is important we understand that though we are blessed, we also need the blessing invoked by a higher authority for it to become a reality. Hebrews 7:7 “And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.”
For those of you who have never received a blessing from your parents, or a prophetic word of encouragement, do not be discouraged, I want you to realize that God’s blessing is upon you and around you, however you are solely responsible in choosing this blessing. You are blessed, begin to meditate on God’s Word, put your faith in Jesus, speak the Word and watch the blessing physically manifest itself in your life! You are blessed!! Allow the Word of God to convert your thinking, fuel your faith, and accomplish God’s will for your life.
Remember to join us this Sunday at our end of year thanksgiving in all our services. "GOD DID THESE"
Confession:
I am as BLESSED as Adam was before the Fall. I am as BLESSED as Abraham was. I am as BLESSED as Jesus is. I am BLESSED!
