THE GOSPEL IS ALL THAT MATTERS

“Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
2 Corinthians 5:11
Main Text: MAIN TEXT: Matthew 28:18-20

In the end, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is all that truly matters. Your career, your spouse, your friends, even your feelings—none of these will matter in the grand scheme of eternity. Why? Because everything in this world comes to an end, but the reality of Christ endures forever. Jesus is all that matters, and we are called to share this truth with everyone—friends, neighbors, loved ones, and even enemies. Knowing the terror of the Lord, we must urgently compel others to receive the gospel. There is a place called Hell, and we must do everything we can to save mankind from this dreadful fate.

We must do the work of an evangelist, because winning souls is the true mission! The Bible says, "He who wins souls is wise." It is our responsibility to share the ABCs of the gospel with those around us: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, died for mankind, and offered the hope of salvation. This is the gospel—the message of Christ crucified. In the end, nothing else matters but the gospel, and we must proclaim it until the whole world is reached and saved.

All the wealth in the world cannot compare to the worth of the gospel. Are you ashamed to speak about Jesus because you might lose a business deal? Are you hesitant to share your faith because a woman might reject your proposal? Or perhaps you’re ashamed of Jesus for any other reason? Let me remind you of this sobering truth: Jesus said, if you are ashamed of Him in this world, He will be ashamed of you before God the Father. There is no greater loss than that.

Confession:

I declare in the name of Jesus, I stand firm in my faith, unashamed of the message of Christ. His Word is my foundation, and I boldly proclaim it wherever I go. In every situation, I choose to represent Jesus. I stand unwavering in His truth, letting my life be a testimony of His grace and power. My life is a witness, and I boldly share the gospel with all I meet. I am a soul-winner, bringing many into the Kingdom of God.

Luke 9:23-26 (MSG) “Then he told them what they could expect for themselves: "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat - I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you? If any of you is embarrassed with me and the way I'm leading you, know that the Son of Man will be far more embarrassed with you when he arrives in all his splendor in company with the Father and the holy angels. This isn't, you realize, pie in the sky by and by.”

Mark 8:34-38 “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
