WHERE IS YOUR PASSION FOR ‘TITUS’? 2
“…, I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother…â€
1Corinthians 2:12-13
Main Text:
‘Titus’ may be your biological children whose spiritual development you are not concerned about because as an evangelist you are very busy carrying the gospel from one town to the other or as a teacher you are deeply involved in building the lives of others around you. Yet, this does not make your spirit restless as long as you have people you are ministering to outside. On the other hand, “Titus” may not be your biological but spiritual son. You brought him to Christ, and He has entrusted him into your care so you can disciple him. But now that a door has been opened to you, you have abandoned him and do not care whether he survives spiritually or not.
“Titus” may also be a brother in Christ who is living in sin and you are convinced he/she is not living right. You know he is deeply involved in adultery or fornication, envy, bitterness, pride, etc., but you are so occupied with the open door before you that you cannot take out time to call upon God to deliver your brother from the spirit of sin.
“Titus” may even be a believer who is living right but is not doing well in his ministry. But as long as you are having a glorious time serving the Lord through the door He opened to you, it does not matter any longer if he’s not seen as a christian who is making full proof of his ministry.
Why was Paul restless when he did not see Titus? He loved and cared for him. Yes, he was a very busy servant of God, but to him an open door for ministry was not enough to reduce his care for his son and brother in the Lord. I challenge you to look out for those lost sheep again. Call that friend that once helped you, and never forget your parents who gave you the platform to be somebody you are now.
Prayer: Let fire destroy any loophole in my life
