RENEW YOUR MIND

When you are born again, your spirit is instantly transformed into the image of God. The spirit is the part of you that takes on the nature of God. According to the bible, once that occurs you should immediately start the process of changing your mind and making it in alignment with the Word of God.

After becoming a Christian, the bible instructs that we “put on the new man which is created after God in righteousness and true holiness (Eph 4:24) this means that your soul and body are to take on the same image that’s in your spirit. This happens through the process of changing your mind, your will and emotions to understand and walk in the ways of God. We are to conform to the image of God’s Son as a result act just like Jesus. Rom 8:29 (MSG) “God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.”

Renewing our mind causes our outer being to be transformed in much the same way as a caterpillar is changed into a butterfly. As we behold Him, our outer man changes to match the inner man which is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your Word, thank you for its creative power in renewing my mind. In Jesus name.
