THE NECESSITY OF PRAYER

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:24
Main Text: Main text: Luke 18:1

To enjoy a successful Christian walk, it’s highly imperative we develop a praying culture. E.M. Bounds is noted to have said “Prayers outlive the lives of those who uttered them; outlive a generation, outlive an age, outlive a world.” This simply means that the prayers you make today, don’t just count for only you, they speak for your generations yet unborn. It’s important to pray, prayer is the key that unlocks the doors of power.

In Christian history we read about Patriarchs and Matriarchs who did great things for God. They all had one thing in common, they were people who gave themselves to prayer. It is sheer ignorance that makes people feel they don’t need to pray; this is a lie the enemy has sold to mankind to create a separation between man and God. The significance of prayer for believers cannot be overstated. While prayer doesn't alter God, it serves to position the believer to hear His voice. This underscores the crucial importance of dedicating ample time to prayer

E. M. Bounds put it this way, “Prayer is far-reaching in its influence and world-wide in its effects. It affects all men, affects them everywhere, and affects them in all things.” You want to change your world? pray! You want to win every time in life? Pray! When we engage in prayer, God intervenes on our behalf. Our aspiration to wield God's power against the forces of the enemy finds fulfillment in dedicated time spent in prayer— it is through prayer that we access the abundant resources of heaven. The efficacy of prayer lies in its consistency; thus, we must intentionally allocate a substantial amount of time each day for prayer.

Confession:

I love to spend time in the presence of the Lord, I develop a praying culture, therefore, I walk in the power of God! Amen.
