WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT? 1
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you."
John 16:7 (KJV)
Main Text:
The Holy Spirit in a believer’s life is God, actively involved in our world today. Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter. A person who is there to help and encourage us in the good times and not so good times. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is the Father who is full of mercy. And he is the God of all comfort. The Holy Spirit comforts us every time we have trouble, so that we can comfort others when they have similar situation. We can comfort them with the same comfort that God gives us." (ICB).
When you received Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Ghost comes to reside in you. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life pleasing and acceptable unto God.
The Holy Spirit longs for a relationship with God's people, He desires to not just be their Master, but their trusted Friend. Jesus explains to us in John 16 that it's to our advantage that we receive and build a relationship with the Spirit of God.
The central work of the Spirit is to point people to Jesus Christ, however, He desires to lead us in the path of success. Isaiah 30:21 "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." (NIV).
Do not disobey the Holy Spirit in your walk with God in this year. The difficult issues in your life will receive the right solution when the Holy Spirit is involved. Never quench the fire of the Spirit.
Confession: Glory to God, I have received the Holy Spirit, therefore, I heed to His instructions, as a result, I am a success, I am blessed.
Prayer: My relationship with the Holy Spirit will remain intact and inseparable
