THE TRUTH
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.â€
John 14:6 (KJV)
Main Text:
Our attitude towards the truth determines the outcome of our lives. If we don’t love the truth, if we resist it, we resist salvation, however, if we do love the truth then we embrace salvation and receive the reward; THE CROWN OF LIFE. But what did Jesus mean when He said I am the truth? What is truth?
God’s Word is true and His Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). This simply means the truth is the life of Jesus – which is to be manifested in us. When we compare His life to our own, and we see how enormously different the two are, then a light turns on for us. The truth is that light which shines into our lives and reveals our true nature in Christ.
The first step on the way of truth is taken when Jesus shines His light into our lives and we acknowledge that we are sinners in need of forgiveness, atonement and justification. The next step in receiving truth is by receiving His Holy Spirit which will help us in defeating the power of sin, and guide us into all truth.
Confession: I receive His Precious Holy Spirit and in so doing, I am guided into all truths. I walk in the light because He is in the light, I have no fears, I am as bold as the lion, I am Gods own child, the apple of His eyes! I am blessed beyond measure in Jesus name.
