WHEN THERE IS CRISIS 1

Crisis is an emotionally stressful event or a disturbing change in a person's life, which could result in unpleasant consequences. A crisis situation can occur in an individual’s health, finances, social life, etc. It can happen to a couple, family, church, nation, etc.

Crisis management involves exercising control or domination over a crisis in a way that renders it unable to stop you from achieving your set goals. For instance, handling marital problem in such a way that it will not lead to separation thereby, fulfilling God’s purpose for marriage.

To effectively manage every crisis that we encounter in life’s journey, we must understand that the devil is the author of crisis and that he has his reason for bringing them about. Crises are part of the tools with which Satan tries to steal, kill, and destroy believers’ peace, joy, connections with God, focus, Christian life and making heaven etc. Matthew 13:27-28 says, “So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this…” When you have this understanding you will channel your efforts towards fighting against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places instead of fighting the wrong people – your husband/wife, stubborn teens, mother-in-law, boss, colleagues, business partner, neighbor, members of the church you are pastoring, members of the unit you are leading, etc.

Follow the instruction in Ephesians 4:27 and refuse giving the devil a chance to achieve his goal. Since you know that he wants to steal, kill, and destroy your confidence in and relationship with God, you should resist him steadfastly I Peter 5:9. Refuse to give in to despair. Refuse also to abandon the Lord and His work. That way you will disappoint the devil’s plan to have pleasure over you.
