GOD’S PRIORITY IS LOVING US
“See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children-think of it-and we really are! But since most people don't know God, naturally they don't understand that we are his children.”
1 John 3:1 (TLB)
Main Text:
Everyone has an inborn desire to be loved. When we’re going through something, we’re strengthened and comforted knowing someone loves us and is on our side during the ordeal. However, when we realize that someone is God and His love for us is unconditional, we find even more hope and encouragement.
We were created in His image and we’re always on His mind. He loves us with a love so great we can’t fully comprehend it. God is love - 1 John 4:8 “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” We are priceless to God. He’s constantly watching over us and there’s nothing He won’t do to keep us from harm. Luke 12:6-7 “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
There’s no escaping God’s love. Our faith in Him reassures us of this. He’ll never let us down and never leave us to struggle along by ourselves. This knowledge gives us tremendous advantage over the world – God loves me and I am priority to God!
Confession: I have the nature of God and because God is love, I have the capacity to love and walk in love. I forgive all wrong done towards me, just as Christ has forgiven me and does forgive me. I refuse to live in bitterness and self-pity. I am a victor, I am an overcomer, I am priority to God! Praise God forevermore!
