AFTER DEATH IS JUDGEMENT
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
Heb 9:27
Main Text: 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
There is a life beyond this one we live in now, an eternity to look forward to with the Lord, in a world where there is no tears or sorrow (Revelation 21:1-4). The Bible is clear on it—after death in this world, you either enter heaven or go to hell. However, there’s a solution: Jesus came to this world and died for us so that we can live ready and begin to experience a life of heaven on earth from this world and even beyond. Jesus’ death redeems us and gives us eternal life. Therefore, we have the responsibility to tell others about Jesus so that they too can partake of this life.
We must live ready. In Luke 16:19-31, we see the story of two individuals who died—Lazarus and the rich man. The sinner was buried, but the righteous was carried; the sinner was in torment, but the believer was in pleasure. After death, there is a place called heaven and a place called hell. If we do not live ready and with eternity in our hearts, when we die, we face the painful judgment of hell. Jesus doesn’t want us to go to hell; we must live ready
Matthew 25:41 says, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Jesus made it clear that hell was not created for man; man was built for pleasure and prosperity. It is important that we live prosperous lives here on earth and continue that prosperity in a greater measure when we get to heaven.
Confession:
In the Name of Jesus, I boldly declare, I am blessed beyond measure. The blessings of the Lord are upon me, and I walk in His favor and abundance every day of my life. I am prosperous in all that I do. My life is a testimony of God's provision and prosperity. I succeed in every area, and my efforts are crowned with success by His grace. I choose the Lord in every situation and at every moment. My heart is steadfastly committed to following Jesus, and I reject anything that would lead me away from Him. He is my refuge, my strength, and my everything. Amen
