THE POWER OF WORDS IN THE MOUTH 2
“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.â€
Proverbs 12:14 (KJV)
Main Text:
Your prosperity lies in your mouth. Are we using words to build up people or destroy them? Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” (KJV) Paul emphasizes the positive over the negative. The word corrupt translates to rotten or foul. It originally referred to rotten fruits and vegetables. Being like Christ means we don’t use foul, dirty language. Our words must be helpful in building others up, our words should be a tool in lifting others to their prosperity Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” (KJV)
As you side with God. Speak the Word of God and meditate on it. The Bible says in Jeremiah 15:16; Thy Words were found and I did eat them, and thy words were unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart or I am called by the name O Lord God of Hosts.
The words of our mouth are essential to God, our words are valuable to Him. Our words dictate how much of God’s blessing we can attain. God told Abraham as far as you can see (Genesis 13:14-16) and Abraham believed and kept reminding God His promises, in order words kept saying. How much of God’s blessing we enjoy is determined by the words of our mouth. Hebrews 1:14 “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (NIV) Choose to speak wisely. Angels are on assignment to make your words come to reality.
Confession: I am blessed, I speak right words, I choose life. I am blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
Prayer: My words receive power of the Holy Spirit
