SEALED!

“And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Ephesians 4:30 (KJV)
Main Text:

A seal is an identifying mark often placed on a letter, contract or document. It showed what was in the letter came from the person whose seal was on the outside. In the olden days, cattle and slaves were branded with seals to show whom they belonged to. This mark would deter people from stealing them because they had a seal upon them.

Gal 6:17 “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.” We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, therefore, they enemy cannot come nigh your dwelling. When you don’t have the Holy Spirit, you are vulnerable to attacks from the Wicked One. A seal communicates ownership, protection, and a validation of relationship.

The Holy Spirit is the Christian seal. He seals his people. God’s own Spirit comes to indwell or take up residence in you the believer. By giving us the Holy Spirit, God seals or stamps us as his own at our conversion and then the Holy Spirit continues to testify, authenticating the reality of this relationship by making us more and more like Jesus.

Confession: I am sealed unto the day of redemption! Therefore, no evil can come near my domain, I am blessed and prosperous, I walk in the fullness of life, in Jesus name!
