AS IT IS WRITTEN

Today, I could boldly say that good number of believers’ attitude to the study of the Word is nothing compared to the old style of studying the Bible. Before, we were fond of memorising; in fact, we can memorise the verses of the scripture from Old to New Testament. The Psalmist says ‘your word I have kept in my heart …’ This is what we need. What you store up in your mind cannot be easily forgotten. When you are faced with challenges, the Word will be there to confront the circumstance. Many battles we lost in 2018 were as a result of our ignorance of the Word.

Jesus was in the desert to pray. He'd been fasting. He was alone and probably weak in His body. Then, came Satan to offer Him an easy way out.

Beloved, you could be facing issues of life that demands urgent attention from the Holy Spirit, never give in to satanic advice. The devil might have suggested easy alternative. But Jesus knew His mission wasn't just to gain the world. He knew that the real victory was to die for the world and defeat temptation, death, hell, and the grave. I declare God will give you easy route to accessing His Kingdom in your life in this 2019.
Each time Satan tempted Him, Jesus responded by saying, "It is written…" Jesus fought the enemy with the Word of God.

The Word of God is your weapon. When you feel the pressure of temptation, when you feel like giving in, when you think you're not going to make it, fight those negative, self-defeating thoughts by declaring the Word of God. It has power to lead you right. Declare, "I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! I am an overcomer through Christ who strengthens me." Speak the Word, and allow Him to lead you through your long journey in this year of His Kingdom.

Prayer: Ask for grace to always study His Word
