BE MORE PRAYERFUL AND NOT PLAYFUL
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;â€
Luke 18:1
Main Text:
The sorry side of many Christians today is that they do more of complains than praying. Don’t live your life in complaints and murmurings, live your life praying and seeking the face of God over whatever you desire. You need to get serious with God in fellowship with His Word in order to enjoy Him. If you fail to pray you are planning to fail. It doesn’t matter your level, whether pastor or church worker. If you are not connecting with God, the devil with get connected to you. Don’t get lost in with fleshly activities to the extent that you don’t even have a moment with your Maker. Most of the people you sit down for hours to watch on TV are stars in their field of endeavours. When will people sit down to listen to God’s word from you? You can’t get better until you connect on your knees to God who answer prayers. God wants to hear your personal worship, praise, songs, adoration and will then be ready to listen to your petitions. Stop being lazy in relating with Him in prayers.
Commit your destiny to Him who alone can help you. Reject pride. Your refusal to pray is a major sign of pride and laziness. When will you grow up in the faith if you are not praying with determination coupled with fasting? God is never a magician; He can only respond to your sincere prayers and dedication.
Remember: “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). Start now, build a solid relationship with God through prayer and daily meditation on His word.
Prayer: Lord, let my life get better as I commit to your Word and mission on earth
