DEALING WITH ALTARS
“And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
Gen 22:9-18

Altars serve as platforms where we engage in fellowship with spiritual entities and present offerings or sacrifices. They can take the form of natural formations or structures crafted by humans. The Bible contains over four hundred references to altars, with the term first appearing in Genesis 8:20, where Noah constructs an altar to the Lord upon leaving the ark. A fundamental aspect of altars is that they speak either blessings or curses, depending on the spiritual entity we align ourselves with.
Abraham's decision to offer his best sacrifice to God marked a pivotal moment in his spiritual journey, positioning him for greater favor and blessings from the Divine. This act of obedience resulted in God swearing by Himself to bless Abraham abundantly. The altar Abraham constructed became a symbol of empowerment and divine favor, speaking volumes about the blessings that follow obedience.
This sacrificial offering on the altar ushered Abraham into a new dimension of prosperity and spiritual fulfillment. It prompts us to reflect on the altars we choose to serve in our own lives. Many find themselves ensnared by the altars of their ancestors or cultural influences, hindering their progress and potential.
However, breaking free from these constraints requires a conscious decision to align with God's purposes and promises. By doing so, we can step into the abundant blessings and divine destiny that await us.
Confession:
I decree, I am free from every negative altar,I align myself with God and I am open to His favor and prosperity. In Jesus name, Amen.
