YOU HAVE BEEN BOUGHT

The concept of being bought carries profound significance in the life of a believer. It signifies that the believer has been redeemed, recovered, and brought back to God through a valuable consideration – the precious blood of Jesus. This blood, the only acceptable currency for redemption, has made believers wholly the property of God.

Understanding this truth is crucial for believers because it is the key to a victorious life. The shedding of Jesus' blood not only redeemed believers but also marked the transition from living for self or personal pleasure to living for God and His pleasure.

God takes pleasure in the relationship He shares with His children. Just as an earthly father delight in the good relationship with his children, God finds joy when mankind chooses to relate to Him. Psalm 35:27 underscores the joy God experiences in the prosperity and positive relationship with His people.

Believers were purchased by the blood of Jesus, creating a covenant between God and Jesus. This covenant makes believers joint heirs with Christ, granting them dominion over various challenges. The redeemed believer is bound to devote themselves to God, keeping His commands and avoiding a licentious life.

Prayer:

 I am redeemed for good works, and I begin to exhibit the fruits of good works in my life.
