SAY THE LORD IS GOOD

This must be settled in your spirit God is Good! Exodus 34:6 describes the Lord this way “The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.” There are many times we face challenges that might make us question God’s goodness, we might think if God is good, why am I in trouble? Why does it look like there’s a stumbling block at every direction? Why am I going through this or that? However, the constant still remains God is Good! We must realize, Job 34:10 “Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.” (KJV)

Picture this, if you met an individual who was hungry and came to you for food, if you were worse than the person you wouldn’t be able to help him, however, because you don’t have any trouble you choose to help him out of his predicament, in the same vein it is so with God. Life will throw many challenges our way, but we have a strong refuge to hold onto and his name is God. The Bible says, the Lord is good! He is willing to help us out of every situation, if we would trust in Him. The latter part of the verse says He knows those that trust in Him. Faith is key in enjoying God’s goodness. Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” (KJV)

It is established that God is a good God, however what could ever make us imagine that God isn’t as Good as He claims to be? Nahum 1:9 “What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” (KJV) As believers, what do we imagine against the Lord, what is the thought in your heart? When you’re in trouble, do you still remember that God is good? When things don’t go the way you want them to go, is God still good? The day you need sun and rain falls, is God still good? When you plan wedding, and suddenly the plan breaks down, is God still good? The day you want to celebrate your birthday and you get the death news of someone close, is God still good?  Do you change your opinion and think God isn’t good? It must be established that God is good. His name is Good! What do you imagine against the Lord? God is Good and by His goodness, affliction shall not arise the second time.

Confession:

I boldly declare, I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, therefore, I enjoy of God’s goodness, I experience tender love and favor with both men and God. I am fruitful, I am abounding in the Lord, glory to God, I am blessed!
