THE POWER OF PRAISE 1

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
Main Text:

Praise is derived from the word price or value. This may be defined thus as an ascription of value or worth. Praise may be bestowed upon unworthy objects or from improper motives, but true praise consists in a sincere acknowledgment of a real conviction of worth. Its type may be seen in the representation given in the Apocalypse of the adoration of God and of the Lamb, which is inspired by a sense of their worthiness to be adored. Revelations 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Praise brings joy, praise does not bring depression. Praise makes it easy for an individual to walk in the light of God’s countenance. When you rejoice in the name of Jehovah, you can never get depressed instead you move higher and higher. When you rejoice in the name of Jehovah-Rapha, you experience the healing power of God. When you rejoice in the name of Jehovah-Jireh, you enjoy supernatural provision. When you rejoice in the name of Jehovah-Roi, He becomes your Shepherd and Director. When you rejoice in El-Shaddai, your faith level in God rises from ground zero to the utmost top. When you rejoice in Jehovah-Shalom, you experience the peace of God. Praise allows your strength depend on the glory of God.

Praise brings in divine favor that will exalt your horn -  horn signifies your presence. The Lord defends when you praise.

Confession: I live a life worthy to God, I praise God all the days of my life, in my finances, skill, and enterprise I praise the Lord.

Prayer: Your praise will not stop from my mouth O Lord
