THE MAN GOD HONOURS II
He whose walk is blameless and does what is righteous who speaks the truth from his heart
Psalm 15:2
Main Text:
So if you are the one that honors the Lord, do not ever see difficult situations in your life as a sign that the devil has overpowered you. God is aware and there is a purpose for it. Consider what happened in Matthew 26 during Jesus’ arrest. Verses 51-54 say, “And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?”
Sometimes going through fire is part of God’s plan for the one He recognizes and honors, and it is for his/her own good and anyway, the ‘fourth man’ is always in the fire with you.
Finally, when heaven bears you record that you are respectable in the sight of the Lord, God Himself announces you as He announced our Lord Jesus in Matthew 3:17 and Matthew 17:5. In other words, you do not need titles and positions in church to announce you as one that God respects. Unfortunately, many believers do not understand this and even many who do understand are not ready to pay the price to be honored and announced by the Lord (note that the Lord’s announcement is not about church titles). So they choose what they consider the easy way – pretending to be what they are not so that the “kingmakers” in the church of God would recognize and put labels on them. But of what use is recognition by man if heaven that really matters does not acknowledge you? (John 6:27).
