THE DIVINE LIFE

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
John 3:6
Main Text: John 10:10

The Greek word translated life here “Zoe” and it means life in the absolute sense or life as God has it. Everyone who is breathing has life in the sense of physical existence but only those who receive Jesus can experience life as God intended it to be.

This everlasting, eternal life Jesus came to give us is the nature of God (John 5:26) the second we accept Jesus, God imparts His very nature, substance and being to our human spirit.

When you were born again, something actually transpired in the realm of the spirit. Your human life was supplanted by the divine life. As a Christian, what you have isn’t a combination of the divine and human life; you don’t have two lives, but one—the divine life. This divine life and nature of God in your spirit has an impact on your physical body. The human life is sustained by blood (Leviticus 17:11). That’s the reason blood diseases are very deadly, because they
attack the whole body.

God is divine and since like begets like, when you become God’s child you share in the divine nature of God. The child of a cow has the life and spirit of a cow, the child of a donkey has the life and spirit of a donkey, therefore, what do you think the child of God possesses?

Confession

I’m an associate of the God-kind, with the indestructible life of God in me! I live in the Christ-environment, where divinity reigns; the divine life is operational in every fiber of my being, for I hail from God; born of Him. Praise God!
