FORGET THE PAST, MOVE ON

“The Lord says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”
Isaiah 43:19
Main Text:

There’s nothing worse than that feeling of utter defeat and despair that comes along with making major mistakes in life and failing. It’s like having a dagger driven straight through your heart. Usually, we’re so devastated by the error that it takes months, if not years just to recover.

I know. Because I’ve been there. And more times than I would like to remember or even admit. And each time I went through one of life’s monumental mistakes, I wondered how I would forgive myself for it. Now, if you’re thinking to yourself that maybe these were minor mistakes and failures, then you’d be wrong. Each one decimated me to the core. And each time, I felt like I didn’t have the strength to move forward. Not emotionally. Not spiritually. Not mentally. And definitely not physically. But, somehow, one way or another, I forgave myself. I picked up the broken pieces and I moved on all by help of the Holy Spirit and His prevailing Word.

Maybe you have wasted the best of your youthful time in immorality due to peer pressure and it appears there’s no future for you maritally, listen to me, you can recover those wasted years through grace. This message is to bring you back to the initial counsel of God for your destiny. You must desire a change in your attitude to God. There’s provision for you in the redemption. All you need right away is to redeem the time remaining and ensure you spend them judiciously towards achieving your desired goal in life.

What steps are you taking towards the time you have wasted in Satan’s kingdom? Wisdom demands that you use the remaining years of your life to witness to souls, support evangelism and missions, give to the poor and be a blessing to your immediate generation. Take a good position at a time like this to recover your lost ground. The Lord will help and be gracious unto you. Amen

Prayer: I receive grace to overcome the errors of the past
