IT IS GOD AT WORK IN YOU

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure”
Philippians 2: 13
Main Text:

Sometimes, our days can be so sweet and busy that we forget how fragile life really is. It can be easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our peace. Something doesn't go our way, or someone says something upsetting. Even fuel scarcity can cause us to lose focus ( just like last month) if we allow it. We have to remember that each day we witness is meant to be invested into our future. If we choose to focus on what's wrong, we'll miss the beauty that each day has to offer.

Note that most of Jesus parables were on the kingdom of heaven and He climaxed the parables by saying that the heavenly Father is the Master who will ask His servants to give accounts of how they had managed one thing or the other He has put in their reach. Particularly, the parable of the talent that showed how God will condemn everyone that has not used everything in his disposal the way He is expected.

Beloved, everything you have is given by God so you could use it for His good pleasure. I seem to wonder why some of us refuse to understand that, God has created us for His purpose. Often times, man wants to use God’s purpose to fulfill his own selfish desire.

What is that thing that you have? Money, position, care, food, or what have you, God gave them to you, so as to use them to help others. It is to be an investment in His kingdom. At the end, we will all give account. If all is yours, you may not have to be accountable to anyone but all belongs to God. Today, understand that every breath in you is for a purpose, to help others breathe. You may be the oxygen someone needs to survive 2018.

Prayer: Dear Father, give me the grace to use my possessions to help the needy
