HINDRANCES TO PRAYER 2
"For the eyes of the LORD roam to and fro over all the earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is fully devoted to Him."
2 Chronicles 16:9 (BSB)
Main Text:
James 1:5-8; “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. An indecisive man is unstable in all his ways" (HCSB) Unbelief is when a man knows there's a God, yet chooses not to believe His Word. He knows what the Bible says, however, he has chosen to believe with what he can see or feel. This will serve as a hindrance to his prayer. In order to expel doubt and unbelief, you must make God's Word final authority in every matter. Not allowing religious traditions or what you think about the situation, to be the deciding factor. Unbelief keeps you away from the blessing. 2 Kings 7:2 "The royal officer on whose hand the king was leaning answered the man of God and said, "Behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" Then he said, "Behold, you will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat of it." Pray according to the will of God and believe you receive when you prayer. Your mindset should be, God said it, I believe it, and that settles it. Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" He does not will one thing then does another. God cannot lie, refuse to believe anything contrary to His Word. When you pray, expect things to change. God's word never fails.
Confession; I have the Spirit of faith, I choose to believe God's word, therefore, I am blessed beyond measure.
Prayer: I rebuke every form of hindrance to my prayer life in the name of Jesus
