BLESSED WHEREVER YOU GO
“If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His commands I give you today…you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country…â€
Deuteronomy 28:1-3
Main Text:
Blessing of God appears in different forms. Some in form of ideas while some appear in the form of a person- remember angelic visitation to Lot? Charles Spurgeon told a story I once shared few years ago. He said, he was visiting an elderly woman in the alms house. His focus was drawn to the framed document on the wall of her room, and he asked her about it. She said some years before, she had cared for an aged gentle man, and before he died, he wrote out a little note of appreciation to her followed by his signature. He had shortly afterwards died and buried.
After much persuasion, Spurgeon went away with the paper (a document). When he took it to the bank they exclaimed, “We’ve been wondering to whom the old man left his money.” The wealth through Charles was transferred to that woman.
God has your interest at heart so His blessings are meant for you today. Living in obedience and integrity are the keys that unlock the door to His abundance. When you put God and His Word first place in your life, the Bible says you’ll be blessed in the city and in the country—that means you will be blessed wherever you go! Can you see yourself in that position? Can you see yourself living in that kind of abundance? It’s not God’s plan for you to live a penury life—our God is more than enough! Even when you lack now, still believe, for God will not live you in suffering. See yourself as a vessel of God’s blessing in the lives of others. As you live a life of obedience you will prosper in all of your ways. You’ll rise higher and live by the prevailing Word of God!
Prayer: I choose to put You first in everything I do. Help me to walk in integrity always.
