JESUS CHRIST IS LORD

“Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.”
1 Cor 12:3
Main Text: Main text: Romans 10:9

Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Scripture emphasizes that God has exalted Jesus, granting Him a name above every other name. As Philippians 2:9-10 states, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” Jesus reigns over sickness, disease, poverty, and all the works of the enemy. As members of His body, we share in this authority. Ephesians 1:22-23 affirms, “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” With all things placed under His feet, we, too, are partakers in His dominion, empowered to live in victory through Him.

A lord is someone with authority, control, or power over others; to call someone “lord” is to acknowledge them as a master or ruler. Therefore, when we declare, “Jesus is Lord,” we are affirming that Jesus is God. Jesus Himself stated that He has “all authority in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). He is the Lord of the Sabbath (Luke 6:5), “our only Sovereign and Lord” (Jude 1:4), and indeed, the Lord of lords (Revelation 17:14). His lordship is an eternal truth, unaltered by human acknowledgment. Jesus is more than the Messiah and more than our Savior; He is the Lord of all creation.

As believers, if we are to walk in complete victory, we must fully acknowledge the lordship of Jesus over our lives. This act of submission is to our great benefit, for Jesus Christ is Lord of all. By remaining under His authority, we align ourselves with His power and purpose, securing the strength and guidance we need to overcome in every area of life.

Confession:

I declare, I am under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, walking in absolute victory all my days. Glory to God—I am blessed! I affirm, Jesus Christ is Lord!
