NEVER TWO MASTERS
“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in).”
Matthew 6:24 (AMP)
Main Text: Mark 10:17-27
God isn’t against having you having money. He’s against money having you. He’s against you making money your priority and putting your trust in it rather than Him. Why? Because He knows money makes a lousy god. Its power is limited, it will only buy so much, it will only go so far. If you need healing from an incurable disease, money won’t help you at all. If your family is falling apart, money won’t mend it. However, if you seek God first, His prosperity will reach into every area of your life.
From the very beginning, man and woman had one Master – God! But for thousands of years, we have two. It’s a battle between God and money, what we want versus what God wants. Money you think can give you everything and anything you think you need. Some people fear it, some people don’t care, and a lot worship it, some seek it, some spend it and a lot waste and throw it away on useless and self-seeking ways.
God made us to worship Him and fill His kingdom with disciples. He knows we desire shelter, transportation, food, clothing and so on, however, He tells us that when we seek Him, everything we need is added unto us (Matt 6:33).
Prayer: Dear Lord, I choose you today, I solely rely on you to meet my needs, I depend on you. Thank You Father, in Jesus name, Amen.

2 Chronicles 17:3-5 (AMP) “The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he walked in the first ways of his father [David]. He did not seek the Baals. But sought and yearned with all his desire for the Lord, the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not after the ways of Israel. Therefore, the Lord established the kingdom in his hand.”
