THE POWER OF THE HOLY COMMUNION
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
Romans 8:11
Main Text: Main Text: Luke 22:20
The Holy Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, stands as the profound expression of God's boundless love for His people. It comprises two elements: the bread, symbolizing Jesus' body broken and scourged during His crucifixion, and the cup, representing His shed blood. When Jesus walked the earth, His body radiated vitality and health.
At the cross, Jesus bore all our sicknesses and diseases, enabling us to walk in divine health. Matthew's words affirm, "Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness" (Matthew 8:17). Therefore, the sickness or disease within you is a past event with the Lord. As we partake of the cup, we declare our forgiveness and righteousness. Jesus' blood grants us a righteous standing before God, allowing us to approach His presence boldly (Hebrews 4:16), with the assurance that He hears our prayers.
Today, as we partake of the bread, we declare the flow of Jesus' health and divine life in our mortal bodies. And with the cup, we affirm our forgiveness and righteous standing.
Confession:
Lord Jesus, I thank You for allowing Your body to be broken so that mine might be whole. As I partake, I receive Your resurrection life, health, and strength. By Your grace, I shall be completely strong and healthy throughout my life. I express gratitude for Your precious blood, washing me clean of all my sins. I stand before You righteous and forgiven. Your blood has redeemed me from every curse, allowing me to freely receive all the blessings that crown the head of the righteous. Amen.

1 Corinthians 11:23-27 - "For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.”
