YOU DON’T HAVE TO BOAST 1
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
Matthew 6:2
Main Text:
It’s good when you sow seed and support the gospel in whatever capacity you can. Your giving should come from a sincere and genuine heart and never from a hypocrisy. You can never know how much your seed will make glad a household. Giving is a major gateway into the great blessings of the Lord. Remember the word of the Lord that it’s more blessed to give than to receive. Open doors come when you give willingly out of a cheerful heart to God and meeting the need of people around you. Part of your responsibility to God is to be a giver and a blessing to humanity but each time you withdraw or complain about the little you are offering as support either towards the work of God or humanity, the Lord says you have your reward already. I believe you understand what that means.
For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? 1 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
However, it will not do you any good when you begin to sound your trumpet around over what you have done to God, keep it between you and your God. Honestly why do we boast around for helping someone? What’s the trumpet all about? Must you embarrass the person before a dime drops from your wallet? God is able to reward your secret offer of love with loud and resounding testimonies if you are a cheerful and merciful giver.
Beloved, whatever help you render, see it as an opportunity to invest in His Kingdom and you reward shall surely be bountiful.
Prayer: I reject every spirit of pride and arrogance planning to take over my affairs in destiny.
