ABSOLUTE PROTECTION
“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV)
Main Text:
The Word admonishes us to honor the Lord with our substance and with the first fruits of all our increase, but many of God’s children have never given Him their first fruit offering. This is not because they don’t want to, for the most part it’s because they don’t know enough to give it.
Rom 11:16 “For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.” ‘Holy’ means sanctified, separated or consecrated! In other words, if you give God your first fruit, He’ll sanctify the entire lump. When you receive a raise in your salary or a blessing of any kind, and you separate the first fruit unto God, the Bible says everything you receive afterwards is sanctified as well. That means He will watch over your remaining resources.
If God gets your first fruit, it means nobody can touch your money; nobody can touch your property because God will watch over it by Himself. He will defend the lump! If you want God to defend your possessions and everything that He has blessed you with, give Him the first fruit because it belongs to Him. But if you don’t give Him the first fruit then you are keeping your resources in bags with holes.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I receive understanding into the principles of the first fruit and I walk in obedience when prompted to give my first fruit, in Jesus name. Amen
